- If you can’t do all 12 days, then there are options:
- Skip the fourth day of trail runs and start driving back on Friday, Oct. 4. That will make it a 9-day trip and put you home on Sunday, September 28.
- Skip the stop at Carlsbad Caverns. That will make it an 11-day trip and put you home on Tuesday, September 30.
- If you are one of those people who don’t mind driving 500 or 600 miles in a day, then you could shave 2-3 days off of the trip (It can be done it, but I don’t recommend it)
- The listed RV Parks are just suggestions. You are free to park or camp wherever you like.
- Be sure to check out the Merus Adventure Park website for more information merusadventure.com
- Printable PDF trail map: Merus-Offroad-Camp-Map-Oct1522-defined.pdf (merusadventure.com)
- The nearest gas station is 25 miles away in Claude, TX, so you will need to bring extra gas and we will plan on making one gas run into town to fill up.
Adventure Park Fees: There is an Off-Roading Park Pass that is $25 per vehicle/per day (we will be doing four days of trail runs). Additionally, there is an Adult Park Pass that is $15 per day/per person. It's $9 per day/person for ages 13-17. Children 12 and under get in free. RV Full hookup sites are $75 per night and boondocking sites are $25 per night. They currently only have 10 full hookup sites, but they have a lot of boondocking sites for both RV’s and tent camping. Group discounts are based on the number of people in the group. They have asked that I put together a list of attendees along with the number of RV’s. If you are interested in reserving a spot (RV or Boondocking), then please contact the Wagonmaster as soon as possible. Plan is to submit our list to them on September 2nd, 2024.
