Inaugural Thomas Mountain (6S13) Overnighter

Location:

• Thomas Mountain Road in the Santa Rosa Mountains / San Bernardino National Forest (near Anza).

Difficulty:

• Beginner to intermediate.

Highlights:

• Scenic climb through changing terrain to ~6,800 ft with great views and solid camping options at yellow post sites.

Draft Schedule:

• Saturday 12th: Morning meetup (Anza area), trail briefing, main run up 6S13 with stops for photos and learning, then set up camp.
• Sunday 13th: Optional morning exploration before heading home by early afternoon.

Group Size:

• 6-8 vehicles max for better safety and control.

Requirements:

• Standard club waiver, Adventure Pass, basic recovery gear, radio, and safety equipment. Relaxed, family-friendly pace with emphasis on education and Tread Lightly principles.
